![]() In terms of offense, Fighting perfectly covers the main two weaknesses of Normal-type attacks-Rock and Steel-and thus other than Ghost-type Pokemon, it can hit everything with STAB for neutral damage. Adding Normal doesn't grant any additional weaknesses other than being weak to other Fighting-type Pokemon, and grants an immunity to Ghost-type Pokemon. I pretty much consider it more or less a new Type combination since while we do have a Pokemon with said typing, it's the Pirouette Forme of the Mythical Meloetta and thus not a Pokemon players will typically get to use during the adventure. ![]() That being said, Normal/Fighting is pretty cool. The pink color-scheme, the fact they're basically living stuffed animals/mascots, they seem like the perfect candidate for the concept. I guess it could work with Speedboost as an off-brand Blaziken since their stats are pretty similar. As much as I enjoy this line, it seems like a missed opportunity to not make them our first Fairy/Fighting Pokemon. It's a bit better than Rampardos, but I guess the Rampardos-theorem still applies. But 240 attack is pretty wasted on 80 speed, when the def (90) and spd (60) are pretty bad. I was thinking Huge Power to work with the 120 atk. ![]() What's the best ability for Passimian to receive? Guess it could be fun to theorycraft with how the ability should work I guess. I do think Gamefreak should fix it in the next gen though. It's been out for 3 generations now, if it was good it would have been in OU. I'm so sad, I thought I had found something that was potentially OP, but I guess it makes sense. It only works on double battles, which makes it very bad. I thought it copied the ability of an ally that was beaten in single battles when it entered the field, which would have been good, and useful in so many ways, but no. I wrote all the stuff below, and then I remembered that I hadn't actually used it in battle, just read up on it. I just looked at Passimian for the first time, and saw that its ability was Receiver (The Pokémon copies the Ability of a defeated ally.)
